As a Creative Director } my 25 years of experience encompasses creating and art directing branded experiences for numerous consumer products. In my role as a design leader, process and execution is as important as the creative ideation themselves.
Understanding a brand and it’s different touchpoints are crucial. Those points of contact include in-store environments, promotions, advertising, consumer collateral, pre-print ads, packaging, kiosk interactives, and e-commerce integration. Within those channels, it is important to procure a consistent tone that is relevant for capturing attention and awareness, the select ‘n buy process, as well as the after market relationships.
Creatively } It is essential that I drive engaging storytelling solutions that resonate visually and verbally. My expertise in visual design and exploratory research along with a strong experience in digital and print production, photo/video styling and direction, storyboarding, as well as a large command of software is the power of my success.
Strategically } I work closely with copywriters, designers, and account executives to review and set project briefs. Projects start with a strategic path that is relevant to the target and their needs through interfacing with the client, reviewing research, keeping an eye on project objectives, and taking advantage of marketing insights.
Departmentally } I participate in assessing current processes and managing the adoption of any new procedures. I have participated in the growth of a creative department from 6 designers to a current staff of 18 people. As a direct supervisor to 4 in-house designers, I evaluate performances annually and provide guidance for their growth. I look to lead with a collaborative and innovative spirit. Knowing how to energize a team is key for generating thoughtful and fresh ideas.
